I am the bitch-daughter
Child of a pretty-sugar woman
And a yellow-eyed alpha wolf.
I am splendid, resplendent:
Ruff-frilled and soaked
In the scent of orange orchards,
Two parallel slashes an inch long
On a white-flesh shin
Clear to bone, and bruises
Like rot-sick blossums
Flowing underneath.
I am a grass-green
Whispered passing of summer:
Bitch-daughter, cold-cheeked,
Stilted, clench-coiled gut: unsure
If I even want to want you,
Contrary son, dark aureole,
Simian-grinning like some
Threat to lunge, and blood.
This is kind of scary. Good, but creepy.
